Electronic Whiteboards

Hello, everyone!

My blog topic would become "Electronic Whiteboards" from this week. Electronic Whiteboards are such significant teaching tools in classroom that create an easier and more interactive way for educators to teach in this age of accelerating technology.

Previously, when we talked about whiteboards, the first image which came into our mind was could be :

Above is a traditional whiteboard that educators can use colorful oil pens to write words and sentences on it. Teachers need to use the

eraser if they make any mistakes. It is common that these traditional whiteboards will get very dirty after being used for a long time.

Electronic Whiteboard was produced and developed in the 1990s. Even though we call it whiteboard, it is more like a screen because it is a display board which is connected to a project and computer.

Information such as images, videos and documents is displayed on the board with the help of the project. Educators can use their fingers to manipulate. They can also save information for later use on the Electronic Whiteboards which is different from the traditional whiteboards.

Aside from Electronic Whiteboards, you may also heard about other names of this kind of boards like "Smart boards" and "Interactive Boards". Nowadays, Electronic Whiteboards are widely used in schools and businesses. I will give more details about this kind of teaching tool in the following posts.
