Hi! My name is Yi Qian and I come from China. I have spent my first graduate year at East China Normal University in Shanghai. Now I’m in Syracuse and excited to be a new member of IDD&E. I will get my master’s degree of IDD&E in 1 year and then go back to ECNU for my third graduate year so that I can get two master’s degrees in 3 years. My major in ECNU is Educational Technology and the research field that I’m now interested in is CSCL (Computer-Supported Collaborative Learning). I have been participating in a project about reading instruction and we want to design and develop a social reading platform aiming at offering students a professional and effective way to express their views. Actually, this online course is a typical CSCL. We will use various kinds of technology to interact, collaborate and learn. Although we may not meet with each other in person, we could still share our ideas and accomplish our team work via computer. I hope I can learn more about website evaluation and complete an outstanding project by the end of this course.

I am an easygoing and energetic girl. Physical exercise is an important part of my life. I love jogging, doing yoga and jazz dancing. In addition, I cook delicious Chinese food in my leisure time and I’m willing to share with you!​
